Any hitch in the schedule adds enormous worry to an already stressful day. Fortunately, rogue movers have a few tell-tale signs we can watch for so that we can assure that our possessions, our wallet, and our sanity is in good hands.
Mountain views are breathtaking. Taking in an orange, red, and purple sunset over the Arizona desert is a breathtaking event. The Phoenix and Scottsdale skylines bring us inspiration as centers of commerce and culture. These views and inspiring moments are the things which make all the hustle and bustle worthwhile. Getting to these high points presents a particular challenge, however. Steep inclines and windy roads are difficult enough in a car full of clothes and kitchen goods. Imagine a multi-ton moving truck full of precious cargo!
At Get Your Move On, we’ve just about seen it all. We’ve tackled challenges ranging from an oversized sofa meeting an undersized door to hoisting objects through windows. Moving is hard enough and we intend to place you in your new home with your favorite furniture in the same condition we found it in.
One of the trickier sets of items to move are electronics. If you follow our directions, your electronics will work great in your new home. If not, then no guarantees! Just listen to us – we have moved a lot of electronics over the years.
Boxes? Check. Packing paper? Check. Well, that’s all you need, right? Wrong! There are a few other key items that will make your move a success.
Tape Gun
This genius invention serves two purposes: it helps with aggravation and it secures your items more effectively. Here’s how: imagine you have a roll of packing tape. You keep getting pieces off, you put the tape on the box, and then…the tape twists and tangles. Now you have to cut it to free the tape roll from your package, and you just kind of shove the twisted tape end onto the box. Does that seem like a good seal to you? With the tape gun, you simply put the tape roll in the gun, slide the tape end through the opening and voila! You have a sophisticated piece of machinery in your hands. Now you can tape and cut, tape and cut, with the greatest of ease. Your packages will be securely sealed and your sanity will be firmly in place.
Since our company headquarters is located in Tempe, just minutes from Arizona State University, and I personally have a long history with ASU since my dad was a professor there, it is only natural that we would forge a new partnership with ASU.
